Explore the Moroccan desert on a 3-day journey departing from Marrakech. Admire the famous historic Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, enjoy an incredible quad and camel ride through the dunes, and witness breathtaking sunsets and sunrises from the heart of the desert.

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Tinghir

Your desert adventure from Marrakech to the Merzouga dunes begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel or the designated meeting point. Head east through picturesque villages to the majestic High Atlas Mountains.

Along the way, take breaks for panoramic photos, stretch your legs, and savor a revitalizing cup of coffee. After crossing the famous Tizi N’Tichka pass, stop at the fascinating Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed fortified Berber village.

You’ll have about 2.5 hours to explore this historically rich location, known for its appearances in famous films such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Kingdom of Heaven.

After a delicious lunch, continue your journey to Tinghir via Ouarzazate, the Skoura oasis, Kalaat M’Gouna, and Dadès. Upon arrival in Tinghir, check into the hotel, enjoy a pleasant dinner, and rest for the night.

Day 2: Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga Dunes

After breakfast, set off for the Sahara Desert, specifically the fascinating Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Along the way, you’ll pass through charming Berber villages, including the impressive Todra Gorges, Tenghir, Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud.

Once in Merzouga, take some time to relax before preparing for a quad ride through the majestic sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at the luxury camp, leave the quads, and walk to the highest dunes to witness a spectacular sunset.

Spent the night in royal tents under a starry sky, lulled by the sound of drums in the heart of the Sahara.

Day 3: Camel Trek – Sunrise – Tinghir – Rose Valley – Atlas – Marrakech

Wake up early to catch the unforgettable spectacle of the sunrise over the desert. After a delicious breakfast, hop back on your camel to return to Merzouga.

Then, begin your journey back to Marrakech via Kalaat M’Gouna, also known as the Rose Valley, where you can stop for lunch and enjoy a well-deserved rest.
